Dear CDT friends and colleagues,
I wanted to let you know about an event on campus later this month that may be of interest. It's a two-day symposium, "Cultural Analytics," devoted to new research in computational and data-intensive cultural studies.
Full details are on the symposium site at culturalanalytics2017.com. In brief, researchers in computer science, information sciences, English, East Asian and African American studies, and a bunch of other fields will be presenting their newest work combining computational methods with humanities problems. It promises to be a really fun event and one likely to touch on many of the issues central to CDT.
The event is free and open to all. It runs from 10:00am to 6:00pm on May 26 and 27 in the Oak Room of the South Dining Hall. Registration is optional but warmly encouraged (and includes free lunch): https://sites.google.com/nd.edu/ca2017/logistics
I hope to see many of you there in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, best wishes for a happy and productive end to the semester.
Yours warmly,
Matt
