Abstract:
The Philosophy of Technology is an emerging subfield as evidenced by journals, grant awards and job adverts, but it is not a subfield that carves philosophy at the joints. In this paper I will comment on the essentially collaborative nature of philosophizing about technology (illustrated with some examples from my own work) before focusing on a current exemplar project: Augmented Reality. As befits such collaborative work I will be asking the audience to reach their own conclusions about the issues I illustrate!
