New CDT Director Appointed

Prof. John Behrens has been appointed as the new director of the Idzik Computing & Digital Technologies (CDT) program, effective Feb. 7, 2022.  Dr. Behrens will hold a joint appointment in the College of Arts & Letters and the Office of Digital Learning.

Dr. Behrens received his BA from Notre Dame in Psychology and Philosophy and his PhD from Arizona State University in Measurement, Statistics and Methodological Studies, where he also served as a tenured professor of Educational Psychology. Dr. Behrens then joined Cisco Systems, rising to the Director's level, before joining Pearson in a Vice Presidential capacity.  Dr. Behrens returns to Notre Dame as an experienced executive with a record of articulating vision for innovation, aligning organizations, and creating and sustaining learning and assessment products in global markets. He excels at building and nurturing high functioning teams that solve pressing organizational needs. Among his many strengths are:
